A (not so) New Ride, A New Riding Chapter

Finally, after thinking about it for a long time, I decided to let go of my Wave 100R. It was not an easy decision, but it was time to move on. I got myself a new ride. Pero bago ako nagpalit ng motor, nagtanong tanong muna ako sa forum na tinatambayan ko lagi kung ano sa tingin nila ang magandang motor para sa qualifications na nasaad ko.

And, base sa mga comment na nakuha ko, the winner of the poll was actually a no-brainer. Here is my (not so) new ride, it was taken during one of my test rides (the details of which I will post later).

Yep, this is a second hand bike, 6 months used by the previous owner, and was at 12k kilometers odometer reading when I got it. Maganda pa naman ang kundisyon ng makina, pati na ang physical appearance, pwera na lang sa mga konting gasgas sa grab bar sa likod (hindi naman ako maselan).

Noong una, nag alangan ako kumuha ng ganito kasi nga it was Indian made. Noong unang beses akong nagkamotor I have grown into the "get a big 4 bike or don't ride at all" mentality. Sure, Kawasaki nga ito saatin, pero that's nothing more than just the sticker. Pero, after reading reviews of the current owners of this MC, maganda naman ang resulta overall. Sure, may mga problema nga sa ibang units, pero pati naman big 4 bikes meron ding ganyan. Mayroon talagang lemon unit, kahit anong brand pa man yan.

In the end, ang rider pa rin ang basehan kung tatagal ba sa serbisyo ang motor nya o hindi, kahit ano pa mang brand yan, mapa Japanese, Indian or China man. For now, I am satisfied with the power, performance and fuel efficiency of my ride.

I look forward to touring with my new ride. Magiipon na lang ako to complete my set of riding gears (wala pa kasi akong proper riding shoes), and I am good to go.

And oh, konting training pa rin pala para maging isa sa mga tinaguriang "iron butt".

'Til next time.
