XRCP NCR-Laguna-Cavite Goes to Bicol

Some of our pals from our club chapters in Manila, Laguna and Cavite went for a ride to Legazpi City (my hometown in Bicol) last February 14, as part of their Valentine's Day Ride. Our guys from Bicol North and South Chapter met-up with them in Libmanan, Camarines Sur.

The group was about 15 strong, and leading them was Lex de los Reyes, Jon Jaldo and Mia Gabayan. We stopped along somewhere in Pamplona, Camarines Sur to let the hungry rides from Manila have their tummies filled.

That's Mia in the green and black jacket.

 That's Jon sporting some shades.

That's Lex, the national GRO... erm... PRO.

After the hearty merienda, we headed for Legazpi City.We arrived at our group's main tambayan, the OIC's very own "Secret Place" in Puro, Legazpi Ctiy at around 7PM.

I got home earlier than them, as I needed to rest due to the lack of sleep. They spent the night in Mark Diaz's home. The next day around 8AM, we were preparing to tour our visitors in and around Albay.

We decided to go to the Cagraray Eco-Park in Cagraray Island, Bacacay, Albay (near Misibis). Our first stop was, of course, the church of Sto. Domingo, Albay.

After the pictorials, we went on to Cagraray Island in Bacacay, Albay. First stopover was the bridge that connects Cagraray Island to the mainland. The rowdy group had some quick friendly gauges in the bridge, some were busy with their own pictorials, and everyone had a good time.

After our short drag-olympics at the bridge, we headed for the twisties of Cagraray Island. Of course, we let the tourists take as much pictures as they liked, after all, they've come a long way.

We led them inside the Cagraray Eco Park. During that time, the park was popular because some local celebrity loveteam shot their film there.

Finally, it was time to go back to Legazpi, to their final spot before going back to Manila. We guided them towards Cagsawa Ruins. No trip in Albay is complete without a visit here.

That's it! They went back to Manila after this last stop and a short rest. I can tell they had so much fun, and for some it was the first time they experienced such a long ride (500kms. from Manila to Legazpi, another 500 going back.) When we come and visit the main chapters in NCR they now know first hand how much we had to travel.

This ends my ride report. Until next time!
